Answer for: What features do you want added to OnSite?
Set Reply-To as email address by
default in webmail (Done)
I have to tell users how to do this manually several times a month. It sure would be nice if this was a simple default setting. If users don't specify their reply-to in webmail (under options->personal info) then all mail sent out is from mailbox_username@domain.com instead of what you specified for their actual email address.

I think we might actually be able to easily to come up with something to make this better, but it's been a long while since I worked on that stuff, so I'm not sure. I'll look at it next week.
I agree--I regularly talk to customers who don't realize that their sender email address is set by default to mailbox_username@domain.com when their mailbox is created.
https://beta-webmail.modwest.com/ -> Personal Settings -> Identities
^^ sorry about that not making sense. My post was truncated for some reason. Another bug, try the above and append the less than sign followed by a hyphen " and you'll reproduce it.
Anyway, beta-webmail defaults to "null" and will not allow sending until an identity has been added. Better still it allows multiple identities to be defined, not just one, so you can have a separate identity for each alias.
Now here's the conundrum, I don't see the behavior your describe. As far as I can tell, each additional mailbox is correctly appointed with the reply-to address under options->personal info.
The account mailbox is a special case. If you log into onsite then that's what's set as the default. The mail available from within onsite (as far as I can tell) doesn't allow you to chose among different mailbox identities.
Correction, sending from an additional mailbox the address is correctly appointed, the reply-to remains blank. Sending a message and looking at the source, I see there is no reply-to and the default account mailbox has not revealed. Hope this helps.
Clarification:
squiggle, as far as your conundrum goes - I am referring to the reseller environment where all my users access my branded control panel (OnSite) for their webmail. None of them are even aware of beta-webmail.modwest.com.
Thanks for the clarification wagner. It sounds like the reseller side needs some updating.
I would encourage Modwest to consider making onsite available on their VPS's particularly as Plesk is more trouble than it's worth.
wagner: we made a change that will set webmail's from address to the first address that you specify when creating a mailbox. This doesn't work for beta webmail, though. Sorry, squiggle!
Now worries. I wasn't looking for beta webmail to be changed, I was just pointing out that it was null and would need manually updating. This was before I realized we were talking about the reseller side of onsite. Also, the multiple identities confers a small advantage over normal webmail, but again, that's not part of the reseller side, which I forgot existed.
Sweet! Thank you Ex-Avatar.
