Do Not Auto-Start Any Media (Sound or Video)

Leader! Most 1st Place Votes
Unless I'm going to your page in order to watch a video or listen to a song, don't play the song or video for me.

Nothing makes me leave a webpage faster.

It's one of the biggest reasons I loathe MySpace.

Opening links in other windows

Don't you hate when websites open links in other window (i.e., target="_blank").
Why don't they let me choose if I want to open them in other window or current one?

Use the phrase "my user won't ever..."

Examples:

...have more than 2 email addresses

...have a username longer than 25 characters

...put crazy, weird characters into anything ^$%$ß∂åß∂∂©©ß¥¥ˆ´∑∆˜∂瘵.

Large fixed-size tables

What about tables with a width larger than your screen width forcing you to scroll right and left with each line you read?
